The Scars Were Necessary

Posted on Wed, May 16, 2018

In Joshua ch 2, verses 1-14, Rahab was a harlot who encountered the spies of Joshua. As they went to spy out the land, The King of Jericho heard that there were spies at Rahab's house. Instead of letting the King know the spies were there, she told the spies if they save her family she would save them. The spies told her they would. Because of Rahab stepping out on faith, her family got blessed and saved. Even though you've gone through things that scarred you emotionally, it was necessary to bless you. If Rahab wouldn't have been scarred in being a harlot, she would have never encountered the spies, who would have never saved her as well as her family. Don't dwell on what cause the scar, focus on the intent of the scar. To heal you and save your life. If we wouldn't have scars in our lives, we wouldn't know Jesus being a healer and savior. So what you've been through was necessary. My brothers and sister stay encouraged. Be blessed!
